HCL is organizing a walk-in event in Bangalore on Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The requirements are as follow:

DPI (Deep Packet Inspection):

Location: Chennai (Visibility for Onsite)

Total Experience: 2-7 years

Should have hands-on experience in:

  • Hands on experience in Networking Layers
  • HTTP, SMTP, POP3, P2P (Peer-to-Peer), FTP, DHCP
  • TCP/IP, VLAN, QoS
  • Experience in PERL is preferable

L2 / L3 Network Protocol testing (Automation):

Location: Chennai (Visibility for Onsite)

Total Experience: 3-8 years of test automation development for network products

  • Should have hands-on experience in Layer 2/Layer 3 (Routing & Switching) protocols, OSPF, BGP etc.
  • Experience in PERL is preferable
  • Strong test automation development skills using PERL for L2/L3 protocol conformance suite
  • Proficiency in using third-party test tools such as IXIA,SPIRENT, Adtech, etc. will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in networking layers is a must

L2 / L3 Development

Location: Chennai and Bangalore

Total Experience: 4-10 years

  • Must have experience in the development/integration of Layer 2/3 protocols – STP, RSTP, RSVP, MSTP, MPLS, MULTICAST, RIP, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, Diffserv, QOS
  • Expert level C coding and debugging experience. Must include doing code and design review.
  • Excellent C/C++ coding, algorithm/data structures, and good understanding of control plane/forwarding plane interaction
  • Understanding of RIP, MPLS and Routing Infrastructure is desirable
  • Should have architected/designed solutions for at least one of the Networking/Telecom products.
