Image via WikipediaKADAPA: Telugu Desam Party leaders on Monday demanded that officials remove YSR statues which were being set up without obtaining proper permissions. Stating that municipal corporators were keen on putting up YSR statues in all municipal divisions, TDP leaders S. Goverdhan Reddy, G. Lakshmi Reddy and Subhan Basha flayed officials alleging that they were not responding to requests to install statues of eminent national leaders, but were permitting YSR statues at will.
If officials did not remove YSR statues to be put up without permission, they would replace them with TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao's statues, they warned at a news conference. They submitted a memorandum to the Collector.
