KADAPA: Kadapa One Town police on Monday arrested 12 Telugu Desam Party functionaries on a charge of damaging a bus at Lakshmiranga circle here during the State-wide bandh on July 19 deploring the shoddy treatment meted out to TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu by Maharashtra police during his tour of Babli project.
TDP State secretary S. Goverdhan Reddy, district vice-president S. Subhan Basha, Telugu Nadu Students Federation district president V. Ravisankar Reddy and functionaries D. Jayachandra, P. Veeraiah, K. Srinivasulu, B. Obul Reddy, B. Chandrasekhar, J. Srinivasulu, T. Diwakar, K. Venkatasubba Reddy and M. Elia were taken into custody by police.
Mr. Goverdhan Reddy and Mr. Subhan Basha questioned the arrest, after almost a month.
Kadapa First ADM Rajiv ordered remand of the 12 arrested TDP functionaries up to August 30.
