Chiru's Kadapa tour from August 12

KADAPA: Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi will tour Kadapa district from August 12 to 14, as part of his praja chaitanya yatra.

Mr. Chiranjeevi will address public meetings at Galiveedu, Rayachoti and Surabhi in Rayachoti Assembly constituency on August 12, party's district president B. Hariprasad and leaders Nazeer Ahmed, N. Srinivasa Rao and Y.M. Pratap Reddy told a news conference here. He would pray at Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy temple at Gandi and address a meeting at Vempalli that evening before making a night halt in the Kadapa State guest house.

The Praja Rajyam president would address a meeting at Seven Roads junction here and at Yerraguntla, Proddatur and Mydukur on August 13 and would make night halt at Telugu Ganga guest house at Brahmamgari Matham.

He would visit Sri Pothuluri Veera Brahmendraswamy reservoir and address a meeting at Brahmamgari Matham on August 14. He would also address meetings at Porumamilla, Badvel, Siddhavatam, Madhavaram, Nandalur, Rajampet, Chitvel and Railway Kodur on August 14, they said.

The Praja Rajyam leaders demanded that the government appoint a special officer for Kadapa Municipal Corporation on expiry of the elected body's tenure. Demanding a vigilance inquiry into developmental works undertaken, they wanted approval of only public utility works.
